Terms & Conditions

Now for the boring stuff.  Unfortunately like anything there has to be terms and conditions for purchasing items from Design A Wall Murals.  We will keep it brief so we do not bore you but more specific information can be found under our "Important Stuff" page.

Payment: All custom wall murals must be paid in full before printing will commence.  This is due to the uniqueness of the mural designed for you and that it has been created especially for your needs.  We may request a deposit up front before any editing work will be done but this will come off the total of your invoice.  If you do not go ahead with your order, this deposit may be forfeited or at least the cost of the work that we have done for you.  Some custom murals can take hours of sourcing, editing and even sending to our printers due to working with large file sizes.

We accept all major credit cards except for Amex and sometimes Corporate Credit Cards.  The difficulty with Corporate Credit Cards is that the details entered into our system for the purchase must match those of the details with the issuing bank.  Most larger companies may not even know these details so the payment will not be authorised as a precautionary measure.  Other options are bank transfer, Paypal and in rare cases we will accept a cheque however items will not be printed or released until funds have been cleared.

Refunds: These are not offered on custom wall murals unless the item has been proven to be faulty in material or printing.  Keep your original packaging in case we request the wall mural be sent back to us as well as the proof of purchase.  All shipping costs incurred for a replacement mural are at the cost of the customer.  Set Designs we will offer a refund or exchange for another mural for a change of mind only if the mural is in its original packaging and has not been damaged.  Any postage costs incurred for returning items for replacement will be at the cost of the client unless the item is faulty in which Design A Wall Murals will cover freight.

Shipment: Now this is the really important stuff.  When you receive a mural from a courier, BEFORE YOU SIGN check that the packaging is sound and free from any obvious dents or other damage you may feel has damaged the contents.  Once you sign for a package the courier company uses that signature to prove you have received the item in good order and condition.  If you sign for it and the item is not in good order or condition we have no scope to claim those damages for you.  In any event we do highly recommend you take insurance on your wall mural.  This covers any damage or loss incurred during transit, it is unlikely but unforseen things sometimes do happen.

Images: If you are custom designing your own wall mural and provide us with your image we will not take any responsibility for copyright issues.  The responsibility is on you to ensure you have purchased the rights to use your image adhering to copyright rules and regulations.  It is also up to you to source your own images.  We can do this for you for a fee however if they are images from computer games, published books, magazines, celebrities or any other images belonging to someone else then we will leave it to you to source that particular image.  Sourcing images in high resolution can also be time consuming which is why we have to charge for this service if you wish for us to do so.

Installation: All our wall murals come with DIY instructions as we are an online store selling wallpaper Australia wide we cannot also fit the murals for you.  You will need to purchase wallpaper adhesive which you can find at your local hardware store.  We do recommend for custom wall murals or if you do not have any prior experience to have the wall mural fitted professionally.  Design A Wall is not responsible for fitting of the mural or any damages incurred during the fitting process.  Our warranty extends to the material and printing but not to any fitting or peeling off the wall.

Removable Wall Stickers: Our wall buddies are designed to leave your wall exactly as it was prior to adhering the stickers.  However we cannot be held liable as we are not sure what condition the wall is in prior to their use.  They are designed to be adhered to smooth clean surfaces such as painted plaster, mirror, glass or smooth cupboards.  If your walls are cracked, peeling, or showing any other signs of wear we suggest you do not use our wall stickers. You can always test a small sticker in a non conspicuous area prior to use.

Removing our Murals: Again this is not something we can he held liable for as we have not installed them.  Our set designed murals are designed in a way that makes them permanent not removable so when you choose to remove your wall mural this is at the cost and liability of the installer.   Removing our Wall Buddies is also something that we cannot be held liable for as we did not install them. If you have followed our instructions carefully and being fully prepared before fitting then you should not have any trouble with your Wall Buddies.
